Shipping and Distribution Team Member, Micro Kitchen

Responsibilities:

• Ensure all shipping and distribution processes of finished goods to customers are executed for on-time delivery.

• Track shipment statuses, resolve delivery issues, and maintain accurate records of inventory and shipments.

• Process orders for shipment and provide support to manage facility inventory.

• Complete all required daily documentation for Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP), metal detection, and all other logs as required for the facility.

• Maintain accurate packaging of products, correct labeling, batch, and pack dates applied.

• Follow all established job-specific set-up, production, and breakdown procedures as outlined in the Micro Kitchen policies and procedures.

• Precisely follow all labeling specifications for shelf life, quantity, and product name.

• Understand the use of time and temperature indicator labels.

• Check all labeling of products and shipping boxes for accuracy and maintain a label log daily.

• Requisition packaging supplies as needed daily.

• Maintain a clean and sanitary working environment and maintain equipment in accordance with Whole Foods Market cleanliness and safety standards.

• Perform opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned.

• Be prepared to perform the duties inherent in other Team Member job descriptions.

Qualifications:

• 0-1 years of experience in a production kitchen or food manufacturing facility environment.

• Ability to work well with others, self-motivated, and capable of working independently with little supervision.

• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on the needs of the facility, including nights, weekends and holidays as required.

• A genuine passion for food and a deep commitment to our mission of nurturing both people and the planet.

• Ability to perform physical requirements of position.

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions:

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

• Must adhere to company dress code and standards of production kitchen dress and PPE (personal protective equipment).

• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, with reasonable accommodation.

• Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling.

• Work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching.

• Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals.

• Exposure to temperatures: <32 degrees Fahrenheit (freezing), 32-40 degrees Fahrenheit (refrigerators), >90 degrees Fahrenheit.

• Ability to work in wet and dry conditions.

• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

• Ability to use tools and equipment, including knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery.

• May require use of ladders.
