We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HVAC Technician to perform routine preventive maintenance, repairs, and monitoring activities for various building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical components. The ideal candidate will assist skilled tradespeople, troubleshoot equipment issues, and ensure safe and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment such as air handlers, HVAC systems, boilers, chillers, air compressors, and exhaust fans.
  • Record meter and gauge readings, clean filters, lubricate motors, and replace belts, filters, switches, and gauges as needed.
  • Assist HVAC technicians, plumbers, electricians, and other skilled maintenance staff in repairs, installations, and construction activities.
  • Conduct basic plumbing maintenance on PVC and copper systems, including replacing valves and seals and repairing water line leaks.
  • Follow safety protocols, assess work requirements, and complete assigned tasks efficiently.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Requirements:



  • Basic understanding of standard tools and practices in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing trades.
  • Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions related to building maintenance.
  • Ability to perform semi-skilled work across various trades.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Capability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.


Qualifications & Experience:



  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of semi-skilled experience in general maintenance.
  • Preferred: Post-secondary training from an accredited vocational school in building, mechanical, or electrical trades (may substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis).
