Senior Digital Marketing Strategist (Web)

Job Description

Aon Affinity is seeking a motivated Digital Marketer to join our team. You will develop and implement effective digital marketing strategies in collaboration with business leaders and marketing strategists to attract and retain customers within Aon's Affinity businesses. As a key member of the growth marketing team, you will design, build, launch, and optimize SEO, UX, CRO, web analytics, website management, and content management initiatives that will promote the brand, differentiate our solutions, generate leads, and, ultimately, produce sales and revenue in this growing segment of our business.

What the day will look like

SEO (Search Engine Optimization):

  • Develop and implement effective SEO strategies to improve organic search rankings and drive traffic to the website.
  • Conduct keyword research, on-page and off-page optimization, and monitor SEO performance using tools like Google Analytics, SEMrush, and Ahrefs.
  • Stay updated with the latest SEO trends and algorithm changes to ensure best practices are followed.

User Experience (UX)

  • Collaborate with the design and development teams to create user-friendly and visually appealing website layouts.
  • Conduct usability testing and gather user feedback to enhance the overall user experience.
  • Implement changes based on user behavior analysis to improve site navigation and engagement.

Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO):

  • Analyze website performance and identify areas for improvement to increase conversion rates.
  • Develop and execute A/B testing and multivariate testing strategies to optimize landing pages and user flows.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to make informed decisions and drive continuous improvement.

Web Analytics

  • Set up and manage web analytics tools to track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Analyze data to understand user behavior, traffic sources, and campaign effectiveness.
  • Provide regular reports and actionable insights to stakeholders to inform marketing strategies.

Website Management:

  • Oversee the day-to-day management of the company website, ensuring it is up-to-date, secure, and functioning optimally.
  • Work with developers to implement new features and troubleshoot any technical issues.
  • Ensure the website is mobile-friendly and optimized for speed and performance.

Content Management:

  • Develop and execute a content strategy that aligns with business goals and engages the target audience.
  • Manage the creation, editing, and publishing of high-quality content across various digital platforms.
  • Collaborate with content creators, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure consistency and brand alignment.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • 5+years of proven experience in digital marketing, with a focus on SEO, UX, CRO, web analytics, website management, and content management.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, and content management systems (CMS).
  • Current knowledge of trends and developments in web and digital marketing
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment; able to multi-task and work independently as well as collaborate with internal teams.
  • Strong communicator with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Flexibility to work across different functional areas within the marketing department, including analytics, creative, strategy, execution, and business stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with HTML, CSS, and basic web development is preferred.
  • Knowledge of paid advertising platforms such as Google Ads and social media advertising to support an omnichannel approach, ensuring cohesive and integrated marketing strategies across all digital touchpoints.
  • Familiarity with email marketing and marketing automation tools to enhance customer engagement and retention, contributing to a seamless omnichannel experience.

Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of industry experience.

Pay Transparency Laws:

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $82,100 to $100,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
