POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior Director oversees the operations of all Elwyn Pennsylvania Community Residential Services (CRS) including Life Sharing and In Home Supports. The Senior Director takes on the primary responsibility of Facility Director for CRS always working to fully comply with all applicable regulations, as well as providing primary direction and oversight to a portion of CRS homes. POSITION SALARY: $80-$90,000 Annually DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Oversee operations of the IDD services' Community Residential Services-PA * Perform duties of Director of Operations (DO) for assigned CRS program teams * In the absence of the Manager of Case Management Services, provide direction and coverage for Program Specialists as needed * Works to ensure ongoing compliance with all applicable regulations in collaboration with support departments such as Quality Improvement and Compliance, Human Resources, Staff Development, Maintenance, Nursing/Healthcare Services and Clinical Services * Direct operations in a fiscally prudent manner and within established budgets * In conjunction with Executive Director, prepare program budget * Work with Finance staff to verify accounts payable and receivable as needed * Work with, understand, and comply with terms and conditions of collective bargaining agreements (CBA) within a unionized environment with tasks including but not limited to adherence to scheduling procedures, processing transfers and promotions, administering disciplinary actions, adjudicating grievances, where appropriate, etc * Provide leadership, coaching, guidance, training and staff development to all levels of department staff * Provide supervision of assigned staff in the areas including, but not limited to, recruitment, selection, leadership, coaching, training, timekeeping, performance management, promotion, corrective action, and termination * Work with department directors and administration to ensure that quality care is provided and then monitored and continuously improved using observations, data collected, program regulations and best practices * Work in conjunction with the nursing administrator to ensure compliance with medical regulations and meet the medical needs of individuals served * Assist directors in establishing best practices and standard operating procedures based on research and data analysis * Promote, plan, design, coordinate and evaluate training and educational activities for all staff in programs to ensure staff have the knowledge and skills needed to provide the highest quality services * Promote the use of Elwyn identified Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and/or other effective methods of data collection in CRS * Review and submit all staff related HR paperwork in absence of Executive Director * Assist the Executive Director with reviewing and conducting interviews for team vacancies as requested * In concert with the IDD services Senior Directors, assist the Executive Director to develop and ensure compliance with IDD service wide initiatives. * Interpret agency Mission, Vision, and Core Values to establish standards of excellence for assigned program staff and leadership * Complete special projects as assigned * Perform on call duties off hours as scheduled * Perform other duties as assigned IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Executive Director DIRECT REPORTS: Directors of Operations for CRS, Manager of Case Management Services CONTACTS: Individuals supported, representatives of individuals, regulatory agencies, community and professional organizations, County agencies, Regional staff, Office of Developmental programs staff, Elwyn staff EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIREMENTS: * One of the following combinations of education and experience: -Associate's degree from an accredited college or university or 60 credit hours AND 4 years of experience working directly with persons with intellectual disabilities -Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university AND 2 years of experience working directly with individuals with intellectual disabilities -Master's Degree from an accredited college or university AND 1 year experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities * Five (5) years' experience working in the disabilities services field * Five (5) years of supervisory experience * Previous experience working within and managing a unionized workforce preferred * Working knowledge of applicable funding source(s) preferred * Experience using Electronic Health Record (EHR)/Electronic Medical Record (EMR) required * Must have current, valid driver's license in state of residence, two (2) years driving experience in the United States, and acceptable driving record PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ENVIRONMENTAL PROFILE: See Physical Demands Checklist below which represents the general physical demands and environment conditions to which the employee holding this position must meet, in addition to the duties and responsibilities listed above, to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
