About this opportunity

Supervises employees in Extrusion, plans and assigns work, ensures employee safety, security, quality, production and maximum efficiencies, enforces policy and procedures, recommends improvements in production methods, participates in team activities. Leads by example and represents TC values.


Responsibilities

When your actions lead to success:



  • Supports all activities in developing, implementing, and maintaining quality and food safety management system
  • Report any quality and/or food safety problems to personnel of authority to initiate action.
  • Balances quality, productivity, and safety to achieve goals in all areas
  • Ensures effective employee relations
  • Resolves employee performance issues through problem resolution and input from Human Resources
  • Provides coaching and counseling to production operators and crew members
  • Drives continuous improvement activities
  • Supports and maintains all activities related to Food Safety Management System
  • Provides daily work assignments to team members so they have clear expectations for the day
  • Conducts monthly safety training
  • Conducts performance reviews on all hourly team members
  • Enforces all plant policies and procedures
  • Enforces all plant and department safety rules
  • Manages shift performance and uses the Daily Operating Report to report shift results
  • Manages daily goal setting to achieve production, quality, and productivity goals
  • Conducts hourly reviews of machine performance ensuring barriers are identified if machines are not running to standard
  • Performs accident investigations
  • Audits quality, safety, and environmental housekeeping procedures
  • Complete the applicable area Master Cleaning schedule(s), checklist(s), and audit(s) related to Food Safety Management System
  • Makes decisions on product quality issues (i.e., product ship, waste, hold, etc.)
  • Initiates disciplinary actions
  • Ensures training and development of employees



Qualifications

When your expertise drives us:




  • Minimum of 2-5 years of relevant work experience
  • High School Diploma required or 4 years of deger or equivalent company job specific work experience prefered
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office required
  • Knowledge of general manufacturing preferred
  • Knowledge of LEAN manufacturing peferred
  • Knowledge of extrusion film helpful
