Summary of Position Kinsley is currently seeking personnel for our growing crews in York, PA. Positions include equipment operators and pipe foremen. Successful candidates should possess a willingness to learn, have a good work ethic, and a positive attitude. Typical Responsibilities / Essential Functions EQIPMENT OPERATOR
- Operate equipment in compliance with Kinsley's safety policies and procedures.
- Excavate trenches from mainlines such as water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer.
- Pull trench boxes as necessary.
- Ensure company equipment is maintained and in good running condition by greasing and checking fluids.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of all aspects of construction.
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required.
PIPE FOREMAN
- Effectively lead, manage, and motivate crews of 5 to 10 individuals.
- Successfully manage and schedule subcontractors.
- Interpret blueprints, project plans, and specifications.
- Plan and schedule for necessary manpower, tools, materials, and equipment needed to complete the job.
- Complete daily timesheets and maintain daily logs.
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of field leadership experience is required for the foreman position.
- Possess knowledge of underground utility installation, excavation regulations, and pipeline safety.
- Ability to work in a crew-based and fast-paced environment.
- Must be punctual and dependable.
- Must be comfortable performing a variety of manual tasks for extended periods and sometimes in unfavorable weather conditions.
- Perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms, legs, and movement of the whole body such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, and handling materials.
- Ability to work both independently and as a team player.
- Ability to pass DOT pre-employment physical and drug/alcohol screening.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
