Clinical Compliance Coordinator for the CSP College of Nursing

Position Overview: The Clinical Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the mission of Concordia University, Saint Paul's College of Nursing by managing student and faculty compliance with healthcare partners' clinical requirements, evaluating clinical sites for quality, and coordinating successful student clinical placements. This position ensures seamless operations across multiple compliance platforms and strengthens relationships with clinical partners and community organizations. The Coordinator must provide exceptional customer service and demonstrate the ability to communicate technical and compliance-related information clearly and effectively to individuals from both clinical and non-clinical backgrounds.

Essential Duties:


  • Manage student and faculty compliance with healthcare partners' clinical requirements
  • Orchestrates student clinical experiences with multiple clinical compliance platforms and with individual sites not members of such platforms to ensure a successful clinical experience by completing the following duties:
  • Maintain membership and relationships with clinical compliance networks.
  • Attend designated meetings and interact professionally with all member representatives.
  • In collaboration with the faculty and track chairs, identify the clinical placement needs for upcoming semesters
  • Review and approve designated clinical requirement student submissions (as defined by the clinical partnerships, such as evidence of vaccinations/titers, CPR, etc.).
  • Monitor completion of requirements and ensures completeness of all requirements prior to clinical experiences (ongoing).Ensure students and faculty are aware of and complete site-specific registration and onboarding within the timeframe provided by the clinical partner.
  • Conduct DHS Background Checks and facilitate the fingerprinting process as well as Federal Background Checks
  • Serve as the point person for the IMA Risk Management training platform and enroll all incoming students and new faculty.
  • Facilitate affiliation with community organizations by completing the following duties:

    • Represent the Concordia University Saint Paul Nursing Department at clinical partnership meetings.
    • Serve as a stakeholder on the nursing community advisory board


  • Serve as a testing proctor for the Traditional Nursing Student Testing Center
  • Assist with accreditation and regulatory reporting requirements in areas delegated (such as clinical site and hour tracking).
  • Administer the Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) program for the College of Nursing to serve the needs of the students, faculty, university, and community.
  • Assist Simulation Operations Specialist with simulation delivery and operations as needed.
  • Assume all other responsibilities as delegated by the College of Nursing leadership team.


Education & Experience:


  • High School or equivalent (GED): Required
  • Bachelor's Degree: Preferred
  • Certification or Licensure: Certified Healthcare Simulation Operations Specialist (CHSOS) Preferred
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and effectively to non-technical individuals
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with clinical compliance software platforms and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Familiarity with healthcare regulations, onboarding procedures, and compliance standards

Working Conditions:

This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, filing cabinets, and other office equipment typically found in such an environment. Exceptions to this environment are indicated below (i.e.: noise exposure, exposure to natural elements, etc.)

Exceptions: The clinical operations coordinator may be visiting clinical environments which includes travel and potential exposure to pathogens via a blood borne, airborne or contact method.
