JOB DESCRIPTION

This position is responsible for setting up and updating policy and contract information in the system, utilizing analytical skills to assess source documentation and ensure proper set-up. The incumbents in this position also assist in the resolution of system issues related to contract set-up.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyzes and translates customer contract data into system requirements to set up and update new and existing customers in the system, ensuring proper loading of enrollment, accurate invoice generation, contract generation and claims processing; may include large, high-profile or complex requests.
  • Prepares documentation for internal and external clients as appropriate.
  • Provides guidance to internal customers on contact setup issues, procedures and practices.
  • Researches and resolves issues related to Contract set-up using systems/workflows and provides feedback and recommendations to management; collaborates with cross-functional teams as needed
  • Reviews information and ensures accurate contract set-up through collaboration with cross-functional teams on submitted requirements and specifications.
  • Creates new configuration for missing data elements in the system in support of set-up requirements.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ w/Bachelor's degree
  • Strong organizational/time management skills and multi-tasking abilities
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong knowledge of contract/policy processing concepts, policies, guidelines and systems
  • Ability to prioritize and manage duties in order to meet goals and deadlines
  • Aptitude to learn and develop proficiencies with new concepts, legal requirements, processes and technology
  • Effectively able to adapt to change and be comfortable handling risk and uncertainty
  • Customer-focused with ability to empathize with customer
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality when exposed to sensitive information.

Base Pay Information

The national base pay range at the end is a good-faith estimate of what Delta Dental may pay for new hires. Actual pay may vary based on Delta Dental's assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, certifications and ability to meet required minimum job qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include prevailing wages in the work location and internal equity.
Pay Grade 16. $45,400 - $95,000
