The SkyWater Accounting Manager will support the Company's Accounting functions. Reporting to the Accounting Senior Manager, the Accounting Manager will drive operational excellence and execution around monthly, quarterly and annual close processes, assist with the company's audit requirements, assist in driving and implement SOX and internal controls, oversee and manage Property, Plant & Equipment, Leases, Intangibles, Stock Compensation, and Equity functions. The Accounting Manager will manage a team of 2.

Responsibilities:



  • Responsible for timely monthly financial close activities through planning, preparation, recording, and review of journal vouchers.
  • Provide leadership and oversight to Payroll Accountant and interface with payroll service provider, as necessary.
  • Responsible and oversees the general ledger which include account reconciliations.
  • Assist with monthly sales and use tax compliance requirements
  • Transmit monthly lender reports
  • Assist the Finance Director in cash flow management with rolling 13-week cash flow forecast.
  • Assist Finance Director with monthly bank reporting.
  • Assist the Accounting Senior Manager with external audit relations.
  • Streamline and improve accounting processes.
  • Oversee Fixed Asset Accountant with Fixed Assets, asset additions, retirements/disposals and depreciation reporting.
  • Special projects as assigned.



Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • 8+ years of accounting experience; public accounting experience preferred.
  • Experience managing others in accounting/finance
  • Strong Accounting and GAAP knowledge: knowledge of new accounting standards (ASC 606, ASC 842, etc.).
  • Understanding of Internal Controls and SOX.
  • Demonstrated success in working across functional areas with strong verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of the close and audit processes.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and highly organized.
  • Ability to lead/manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic, and deadline driven environment.
  • Ability to work independently as a self-starter, as well as part of a larger accounting and finance team and manage time effectively and highly motivated.
  • Ability to make timely, sound decisions that align with SkyWater's priorities and values; take multiple factors into account; make appropriate decisions, even in fast-paced, uncertain situations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient at handling conflict resolution and working with positions at all levels
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing and present confidently to clients, understand client objectives.
  • Strong Math and analytical skills a must.
  • Strong Computer Skills (Microsoft Office, etc.)

The annual salary range for this role is $108,400 - $162,600. Pay offered is based on many factors including, but not limited to, the job-related experience, skills, education, and credentials of each candidate.
