Director of Compensation

This is a remote position; however, occasional on-site presence will be required based on business needs.

Summary:

The Director Compensation directs the planning, design, implementation, and on-going administration of the compensation program for the organization. This includes ensuring competitive market pay for all levels of the organization, including executive compensation. Ensures a pro-active approach to providing market driven compensation programs related to both base pay and total cash compensation.

Responsibilities:

  1. Oversees the review and effectiveness of compensation practices, programs, policies, and guidelines. This includes staff, leader, provider and executive compensation.
  2. Benchmarks organizational compensation programs to the local, regional and/or national markets to develop appropriate recommendations.
  3. Collaborates with HR leaders and organization leaders to design compensation programs that address organizational needs.
  4. Researches and analyzes trends affecting total compensation for staff, leader, Provider and executives.
  5. Evaluates results of compensation programs and services to ensure outcomes support organizational goals.
  6. Ensure compliance with all compensation regulations.
  7. Supervises employees, provides direction, coaches, trains and develops, and manages performance to company goals and expectations.
  8. Prepares, manages, adheres, and understands variances to department budget to maintain expenditure controls.
  9. Other duties as required.

Other information:

Technical Expertise

  1. Experience in developing and administering compensation programs is required.
  2. Experience in applicable Local, State and Federal employment laws is required.
  3. Experience working with all levels within an organization is required.
  4. Experience in HR core functions outside of compensation is preferred.
  5. Experience in healthcare is preferred.
  6. Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is required.

Education and Experience

  1. Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field is required. Master's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field is preferred.
  2. Certification: HR Certification [PHR, SHRM-CP, CEBS, CCP, etc.] is preferred.
  3. Years of relevant experience: 5 years required
  4. Years of experience supervising: 3 years required
