Full Stack Developer

Join a cutting-edge technology team based in the heart of Northern Virginia! NS2 Mission is seeking a Full Stack Developer located in the Herndon/Chantilly, VA area to contribute to high-impact cloud-based software solutions.

Overview:
The Full Stack Developer will support the design, development, and deployment of robust, cloud-native software solutions. This role will work across the entire cloud-based software development lifecycle, including front-end, back-end, and database layers. The ideal candidate has strong experience delivering end-to-end solutions-developing everything from the data layer through the application code to user interfaces, and building APIs and integrations with external systems.

The Full Stack Developer will architect secure, scalable, and cost-efficient software solutions that align with enterprise cloud infrastructure best practices.

• Collaborate with the Chief Engineer and Technical Leads to translate business and technical requirements into actionable user stories and features.
• Design and implement software components across all layers of the application stack: database, application logic, and front-end user interfaces.
• Develop and maintain APIs and web services to integrate software systems and enable seamless data sharing.
• Work with DevOps tools to implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and support cloud orchestration.
• Apply AWS cloud best practices to optimize performance, cost, and security of application deployments.
• Build responsive, accessible front-end interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React.js), HTML, and CSS.
• Participate in Agile development processes, contributing to iterative delivery and continuous improvement of software products.
• Develop and maintain unit tests to support code quality and performance standards.

Minimum 4-7 years of hands-on experience with:

• Application development using programming languages such as Java, C#, or C++.
• Database and data layer technologies, including SQL, unstructured data, MongoDB, Python, R, Elasticsearch, and analytics tools.
• Front-end development using modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React.js), HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap.
• Cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, with experience deploying and maintaining cloud-native systems.
• Agile/Scrum methodologies and collaborative team-based software development.

• Decomposing functional requirements into technical specifications and tasks.
• Familiarity with software development tools and languages including JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Python, SQL, and XML.
• Experience with designing secure, scalable APIs and microservices.
• Working knowledge of DevOps and automation practices to support cloud-native application development and deployment.
