Part-Time Dental Assistant - Little Crown Pediatric Dentistry- Office (South Pasadena, CA)
Location: 1427 Mission St, South Pasadena, CA 91030
Status: Part-Time (12 hours/week) with potential to transition to Full-Time

Join our compassionate and energetic pediatric dental team in South Pasadena! We're seeking a Dental Assistant to support our afternoon schedule and provide excellent care to our young patients.

Schedule:
Monday - Thursday, 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM
This is a temporary role from June 23 to August 15, with the opportunity to become full-time starting July 28.

What You'll Do:



  • Assist the pediatric dental team in clinical procedures



  • Help ensure a positive and welcoming experience for patients and their families



  • Maintain a clean and organized operatory



  • Follow safety and sterilization protocols



  • Support team members as needed



Qualifications:



  • Active X-ray license



  • DA certificate



  • Coronal Polishing Certificate



  • Current CPR certification



  • Bilingual skills preferred



  • Previous experience in pediatric dentistry a plus

Education/Credentials:


  • A minimum of a high school degree or equivalent is .
  • Radiography requirements according to the state regulations.

Job related experience:


  • Experience working in a professional, medical, or dental environment with direct customer service is desired.
  • Pediatric experience, preferred

Job-related skills/competencies:


  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills- must be able to establish and maintain positive working relationships.
  • Must be customer service oriented and able to communicate with a pleasant demeanor at all times.
  • Communication - effective written and verbal communication is a must with all staff and management.
  • Must be able to project a capable and professional image- one that is reflective of Company Values.
  • Must possess excellent organizational skills- strong attention to detail, be able to multitask and perform job duties in a timely manner.
  • Must have PC skills with an ability to learn and successfully use new software programs as required. Computer proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office is preferred; as well as experience with a fax machine, copy machine, and general office equipment.

Working conditions:


  • Travel between the assigned offices, if needed
  • Attend and participate in all office meetings, continuing education events and morning huddles
