As a member of the Munters Engineering team, you'll hold an important role in optimizing the manufacturing process to meet customer expectations. The Manufacturing Engineer will coordinate with Product Design to make changes to improve manufacturability and lower cost. Other activities could include but are not limited to creating production area layouts, work instructions, fixture and tooling design. Through this process, the Munters factory will produce a product that meets customer expectations for quality, reliability, and performance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

* Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
* Identifies opportunities to improve products and reduce costs using knowledge of fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment, assembly methods, and product design.
* Documents feedback from key stake holders in the production process and work to find solutions to production bottlenecks.
* Develops CAD drawings of production layouts, tooling concepts, and production flow diagrams
* Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.
* Leads cross-functional project teams to identify process improvements and implement solutions
* Leads team Kaizen projects that focus on improve processing time, quality, and cost.
* Prepares documentation such as work instructions, time studies, and tooling proposals.
* Completes projects in alignment with Munters MPS goals and strategies

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

* Capable of working in a team environment and managing multiple projects concurrently.
* Uses knowledge of processes and systems to proactively solve problems.
* Motivated, confident and persistent in meeting project goals.
* Effective communicator, both externally (customers) and internally (management, colleagues, sales, operations).
* Knowledge of large equipment manufacturing processes
* Experience with Design for Manufacturing and Assembly

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
* Minimum Requirements: BS Engineering discipline with 2- 5 years' experience in a manufacturing setting.
* Desirable Requirements: formal training in LEAN and 6 Sigma methodologies. Knowledge of large equipment manufacturing including sheet metal, piping, assembly, and HVAC.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
* Frequently required to stand, walk, climb, lift and/or move up to 75 lbs.
