POSITION

The Data Operations Analyst - Pricing and Valuation - is a senior member of the team responsible for the critical function of ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timely delivery of pricing and valuation data across the organization. This role involves strategic oversight of data sourcing, validation, processing, and distribution, as well as leadership and development of the Data Operations team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of financial instruments and data management best practices, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders. This role is crucial in maintaining the reliability of our financial data infrastructure and supporting informed decision-making.

This role requires availability to work from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM ET, Monday through Friday.

We currently operate in a hybrid working model, whereby you will be required to work in-office 3 days a week.

RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Data Validation and Quality Control:

    • Coordinate the daily valuation and validation of more than 30,000 securities across all asset types.
    • Analyze market data to help determine the fair value for unquoted securities.
    • Implement and complete data quality checks and validation rules to identify discrepancies, anomalies, and errors in pricing and valuation data.
    • Investigate and resolve data quality issues in a timely and efficient manner, advancing complex problems as needed.
    • Develop and maintain documentation for data validation processes and procedures.


  • Data Acquisition and Sourcing:

    • Identify, evaluate, and onboard new pricing and valuation data sources.
    • Establish and maintain robust data feeds and integrations with external vendors and internal systems.
    • Collaborate with market data management to ensure data quality and adherence to contractual agreements.


  • Data Distribution and Reporting:

    • Prepare and share pricing and valuation data with internal and external collaborators.
    • Develop and maintain automated data delivery processes to ensure timely and accurate dissemination of information.
    • Respond to ad-hoc data requests and provide support to users accessing pricing and valuation data.


  • Process Improvement and Documentation:

    • Find opportunities to streamline data operations processes and improve efficiency.
    • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for data sources, processes, and workflows.
    • Contribute to the development and implementation of data governance policies and procedures.




CANDIDATE

We are seeking a highly motivated Data Operations Analyst who can work independently on complex processes. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of pricing vendors and fair valuation methodologies coupled with a strong background in data management, including experience with SQL, PowerApps, and Python.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • 3+ years experience in an Investment Operations role, preferably supporting the Valuation function
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with data management tools and software, including Excel, SQL, and VBA


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • Familiarity with accounting and valuation of various asset classes including structured products and derivatives
  • Experience with Accounting and Trading Systems; APX, CRD, Bloomberg


Base Pay Range: $110,000 - $125,000

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary bonus programs, or other annual or non-annual incentive or sales plans.)
