We are in search of an IT Auditor or Senior IT Auditor to join our Internal Audit department in Spokane, Washington or Rocklin California. This full-time position reports to the Director, Internal Audit and is responsible for identifying technology risks and evaluating the efficiency and effectiveness of technology and security controls at AgWest. In addition, this role is responsible for planning, scoping, and performing IT audit engagements, testing of IT Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR), and conducting other IT audit special projects. This role will also have responsibility for supporting the design and execution of the department's strategy and plans.

After an initial in-office training period, this position is eligible for workplace flexibility and a one-time home office stipend. Employees are expected to continue working from their office location a minimum of 60% of the time.

Compensation Information

The base salary range for this position in Spokane, Washington is:

Level II:
Typical starting range: $78,000 - $107,400.
Full base salary range: $78,000 - $122,100.
Annual performance-based incentive target is12% of base.

Level III:
Typical starting range: $87,200 - $121,400.
Full base salary range: $87,200 - $138,500.
Annual performance-based incentive target is 15% of base.

The base salary range for this position in Rocklin, California is:

Level II:
Typical starting range: $89,300 - $123,600.
Full base salary range: $89,300 - $140,600.
Annual performance-based incentive target is12% of base.

Level III:
Typical starting range: $100,500 - $139,600.
Full base salary range: $100,500 - $159,000.
Annual performance-based incentive target is 15% of base.

Job Requirements

  • Accountable for the achievement of Internal Audit's strategic goals, objectives and key results.
  • Provide key input in preparation of the annual audit plan and risk assessment, especially the IT specific risk assessment and audit plan.
  • Lead IT audit engagements and related operational audits, evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls and recommending improvements in processes, procedures, and controls.
  • Present and communicate, as needed, issues and statuses to Internal Audit Department leadership, senior management, external auditors and examiners, and the Audit Committee.
  • Perform follow-up procedures on audit recommendations to determine that corrective action was taken by management.
  • Develop close but independent and objective working relationships with IT management.
  • Provide thoughtful insights to key stakeholders regarding industry-leading practices, audit standards, regulatory requirements, and other risks.
  • Provide technical guidance to other Internal Audit staff members and the company's personnel with respect to information technology processes and controls.
  • Employ a continuous improvement mentality to grow the maturity of the Internal Audit function, including data analytics and automation via emerging technologies.
  • Support special projects at the request of the Internal Audit leadership or other AgWest management.
  • Work with outside partners to ensure suitable reliance on outsourced audit work and enhance collaboration as feasible.
  • Perform all duties and maintain all standards in accordance with company policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, accounting, business or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Generally, requires at least five years' progressively responsible IT audit experience.
  • Possess or making progress toward one or more of the following: Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or another audit related certification.
  • Ability to maintain complete discretion concerning confidential matters.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively plan and prepare for audits.
  • Ability to discern between material and immaterial issues.
  • Ability to communicate in a clear, concise and accurate manner, both written and verbally, with external and internal audiences.
  • Demonstrated technical ability to utilize and maximize varied technology and systems.
  • Expertise with Sarbanes-Oxley, COSO and IT risk and control frameworks.

Preferred Requirements

  • Knowledge of sound lending business processes and ability to identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • CISA certification.
