Job Summary

The Maintenance Operations Facilitator improves production system KPI's by planning maintenance functions and scheduled plant downtime events. This will be accomplished through analysis, planning andcoordination of internal and external labor, parts and materials, equipment, tools, and documents.

Job Responsibilities

  • Practice and be a champion for safety in all aspects of this position.
  • Develop and deliver a planned maintenance window schedule to optimize production and maintenance activities.
  • Responsible for vendor contact and coordination when external parties are required.
  • Evaluates maintenance requests, sets priorities, and processes work notifications to maintain a high level of equipment reliability, maximum operational schedule flexibility, and minimal work order backlog.
  • Create and improve processes with standard operating procedures for internal use, provides training and implements continuous improvement initiatives to mitigate equipment failures.
  • Provides technical leadership to troubleshoot equipment issues and prioritizes work requests with the maintenance supervisors.
  • Implements the work plan for maintenance activities and identifies opportunities for improving preventative maintenance methods and procedures based on failure modes, historical data, reliability principles and best practices.
  • Ensure that Predictive Maintenance technologies (e.g., oil analysis, vibration analysis, thermography, ultrasonics, online and offline motor testing, etc.) are correctly applied on manufacturing assets and performs routine inspections of all systems and equipment.
  • Implement and manage a comprehensive CMMS ensuring all master data is complete and accurate.
  • Recommend and implement improvements for site utilities and provide subject matter expertise on utilities on an on-going basis.
  • Provide technical assistance to troubleshoot utility system malfunctions for preventive maintenance programs.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Engineering Technology or related field and a minimum of one year of work experience required, or a minimum of five years of progressive job experience including manufacturing maintenance experience with leadership and influencing skills required.
  • Three years maintenance planning and equipment reliability experience preferred.
  • Experience in equipment maintenance required.
  • Leadership experience required.
  • Experience with industrial mechanics including hydraulics, computer application skills, including CMMS software and SAP experience preferred.
  • Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing environment and high-speed production equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of TPM/PM Pillar Tools including Break Down Analysis, Predictive Maintenance, Work Order Process, Corrective Maintenance required.
  • Thorough understanding of LEAN tools such as: 5S, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), 5 Why's, Fish Bone, Kaizen and Failure Mode Effect and Analysis (FMEA) preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; knowledge and ability to train on methodologies of Breakdowns, Preventive Maintenance, and Break Down Analysis.
  • Leadership in Six Sigma approach to: Problem-Solving, Root-Cause, Breakdown and Corrective Actions and Corrective Maintenance.
  • Ability to analyze data and apply appropriate corrective action for mechanical failures down to the root cause.

Pay:$72,213 - $84,956 a year
