This role is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of the CLA's DevOps and platform engineering initiatives specifically for application development. This role ensures stability, scalability, and efficiency of the pre-production environments and manages deployments to production, while fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement across development, QA, and IT operations teams. This role combines the functions of a DevOps Manager with platform engineering responsibilities for pre-production environments. In addition, this role will lead the strategy and vision for the DevOps/Platform Engineering Team. This role will ensure efficient migrations with robust metrics and analytics that illustrate effectiveness, along with comprehensive monitoring and tooling.

CLA is growing and seeking to hire a Cloud Architect Senior to join our talented Information Technology team. This role is responsible for the design and implementation of complex cloud infrastructure. They are responsible for planning and executing programs from a Cloud perspective.

How you'll create opportunities as a Cloud Architect Senior:

• Design and develop scalable cloud infrastructure solutions.

• Develop and implement cloud strategies that align with business objectives.

• Execute the planning of projects and programs from a Cloud perspective ensuring they meet business requirements, security standards and deadlines

• Responsible for the automation and optimization of infrastructure provisioning, scaling, and management processes.

• Ensure cloud environments adhere to best practices for security, compliance, and governance.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and execute cloud architecture and strategies.

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud infrastructure performance and reliability.

• Document and maintain comprehensive architecture designs, processes, and standards.

• Responsible for staying current with industry trends for solution development.

• Collaborate with business leaders to identify and prioritize potential new solutions that align with strategic goals.

What you will need:

• 4+ years relevant experience in a Cloud Architecture role
• Bachelor's degree is required. Combination of relevant experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of degree

Technical Competencies

Proficiency in Terraform, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Kubernetes, Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Cloud Security, Linux, Python or Bash scripting, PowerShell, Docker, Git, DevOps, Spacelift, M365
