*Job Title:* Helpdesk Support Specialist
*Location:* Hybrid - Portland, OR (occasional onsite travel required) *Pay Rate:* $17-$20/hr *Contract Duration:* 4 months (Mid-June to Mid-October, with potential for extension) *Job Description:* Join a small, collaborative IT support team serving a beloved Pacific Northwest hospitality group known for revitalizing historic spaces into vibrant pubs, hotels, and entertainment venues. This hybrid contract role is ideal for someone with 2-3 years of IT support experience who is open to a rotating schedule and occasional onsite visits across Oregon and Washington. *Day-to-Day Responsibilities:* * Participate in a 4-person helpdesk rotation * Answer support calls and respond to emails * Provide onsite support as needed (1-2 times per week on average; mileage and parking reimbursed). Some weeks may have no onsite visits. Trips typically take 1-2 hours. * Support 1100-1300 users, ranging from kitchen staff to administrative personnel * Maintain and troubleshoot approximately 400 devices (95% Windows PCs, 5% Macs) * Handle 15-25+ support calls per day (no strict SLAs; focus is on resolving issues thoroughly) * Support and troubleshoot 40-50 different applications *Required Skills & Experience:* * Windows 10/11 support * POS system experience * Hardware and software troubleshooting * Active Directory and Exchange * Experience with ticketing systems (preferably ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus) * Strong customer service and communication skills *Work Schedule:* * Rotating shifts: * 2 weeks: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM * 2 weeks: Monday-Friday, 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM * Includes 2 weekends per month (with Monday/Tuesday off instead of Saturday/Sunday) * Must be flexible and open to day, swing, and weekend shifts *Why Join the Team?* This is more than just a helpdesk role-it's a chance to support a company that's deeply woven into the cultural fabric of the Pacific Northwest.
