Job Details

The incumbent has responsibility for ensuring consistency in process execution and integrity of customer information as well as seamless execution and delivery of GPO Program Management and Enablement solutions. This individual participates in the development and execution of group purchasing specific deliverables including administration and coordination of day-to-day customer operations and implementation of related service. This role is responsible for leading a team responsible for partnering with stakeholders to understand critical needs and provide expertise and input on key deliverables and processes. This role will provide leadership and expertise in customer onboarding, data/analytics, and account management with a focus on initiatives that empower the team to extract greater value and deliver insights through customer support initiatives and advanced analytics.

  • Responsible for the administration of all GPO contractual deliverables.
  • Responsible for implementing GPO strategies and deliverables, both short and long range, to ensure the profitable growth and expansion of company offerings.
  • Responsible for implementing standard operating procedures and communication processes to ensure all GPO deliverables are met in a timely, cost effective, and efficient manner.
  • Establishes appropriate reporting and monitors profitability and revenue aligned to GPO contract deliverables.
  • Provides leadership and responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of new tracking mechanisms to aide in GPO contract execution and pull through.
  • Works closely with GPO leadership to develop, implement, and execute new revenue opportunities.
  • Responsible for operational customer interactions. Serves as subject matter expert to both physician and manufacturer clients.
  • Responsible for the performance of GPO Operations associates, both people leaders and individual contributors, including internal development and cross-training, individual performance appraisal and management, activity scheduling and performance metric development, management and reporting.
  • Analyzes business intelligence data to inform business and Develop repeatable implementation processes that can be expanded and executed against future projects.
  • Serve as business owner for group analytic needs including the scorecards and any contract analytics. Work across ABC with appropriate BUs to ensure appropriate functioning and updates to business analytical tools and reports.
  • Responsible for management of contract analytics and enablement team, including internal development and cross-training, individual performance appraisal and management, activity scheduling and performance metric development, management and reporting.
  • Support group business development efforts through analyses of both enterprise and member value potential. Continually evaluate specialty drug categories to make recommendations for subsequent opportunities.
  • Leads a team responsible for supporting process development, implementation and execution of programs and services.
  • Accepts and effectively communicates decisions on company policies, plans and programs; ensuring open communication at all levels.
  • Participates in the identification of training needs and the development and design of training plans; may facilitate training programs.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.

Experience and Educational Requirements

Requires broad training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through - an advanced degree or equivalent professional experience. Normally requires a minimum of 7-10 years directly related and progressively responsible experience, including managing a team.

Excellent understanding of group purchasing, analytics and contract pull through and execution. This individual must have proven experience with business analytics and the application for adherence in addition to business growth. Must have a strong attention to detail and focus on problem solving and solution development. This individual must work effectively individually as well as in a team environment.

Minimum Skills, Knowledge, and Ability Requirements

  • Provide strategic planning which includes identifying, communicating, and direction critical activities that will enhance operational performance
  • Must understand and assist with managing department financial metrics. Including revenue tracking and reporting, OPEX management, and budgeting.
  • Understanding of GPO contract operations and sales operations.
  • Interest in and enthusiasm for automation of solutions and its potential for improving departmental and inter-departmental efficiency.
  • Demonstrated history of high-level support to a business manager.
  • Superior analytical skills relative to financial modeling; fluent in profitability calculations
  • Excellent organizational skills; attention to detail with proven ability to manage projects and meet deadlines
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Excellent integration, implementation and management skills with demonstrated ability to facilitate change.
  • Ability to work as an integral part of a team including Lead role.
  • Ability to use technical skills to lead an analytic and systematic approach to issue resolution.

*This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale. Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington/New York/Hawaii/Vermont/Minnesota/Massachusetts/Illinois State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
