Chief Operating Officer - WebTPA

This position is an opportunity for a dynamic and experienced executive to serve as a key member of WebTPA executive leadership team in the role of Chief Operating Officer. Provides leadership and management across multiple business functions within WebTPA including Operations, Claims, Customer Experience, and Account Management. The role is accountable for company-wide operational and business planning, priority setting and decision-making. The role will "own" the key activities aligned to business model service delivery and support of growth with focus on quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
* Partner with the CEO and President to develop, communicate, and drive a clear vision and strategy to ensure the achievement of the organization's goals and objectives; embrace and own the operational issues in the WebTPA organization.
* Represent operations to key clients in formal presentations, client onsite meetings and RFPs. Able to share the vision of WebTPA as well as identify opportunities to enhance client processes and programs.
* Collaborate with WebTPA leaders in the development of operational plans and the identification of transformational initiatives necessary to achieve organizational growth objectives; collaboratively drive the operational cadence for the WebTPA leadership team.
* Drive alignment and communication across organizational leaders ensuring that organizational goals, operating plans and initiatives, and client commitments are aligned with, and effectively supported by, business operations, organizational readiness, financial plans, and other key initiatives and projects.
* Anticipate key business challenges and serve as an effective thought leader and key decision maker in support of business direction, setting priorities and driving implementation of strategic opportunities and operational improvements.
* Orchestrate, drive, and support the transformation of business processes, utilization of third-party vendors, supply chains, and organizational mindset by seeking feedback and ideation from customer panel and collaborating and partnering with leaders and teams across Florida Blue and GuideWell as appropriate.
* Determine critical business goals and metrics; implement management tools to assess operational efficiency and effectiveness by analyzing and interpreting performance data aligned to these metrics.
* Monitor, evaluate, and communicate on performance relative to plan, market/customer expectations, and strategic alignment; effectively identify critical business issues, ensure appropriate analyses and initiation of corrective action.
* Continuously develop and strengthen a talented and an engaged workforce to optimize company performance, regularly demonstrate WebTPA and GuideWell's company values, and serve as a member of WebTPA's executive leadership team.

Key Requirements:
* 10+ years' related work experience to include experience leading teams in claims, customer service, stop loss, or client services
* Experience with executive level focused business operations and working collaboratively to drive and achieve organizational goals, objectives, and key results within a healthcare/health plan/third-party health plan administrator organization
* 5+ years' direct supervisory/management experience
* Related Bachelor's degree required in Business, Management, Finance, or related area
* Experience managing teams, and executing on operational plans
* Successful experience in scaling businesses through organic growth and partnership development, positively impacting business operations, coaching others to higher levels of performance, and continuously achieving measurable business improvements
* Broad executive level thinker with the ability to relate business trends to company strategy, operational realities, and future opportunities; successful track record of establishing and participating in great teams and empathizing with others
* Commitment to demonstrating the highest standard of ethical conduct and integrity; a willingness to continually embrace personal and professional development

Preferred:
* Experience working within a TPA

General Physical Demands
Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to move objects. Jobs are sedentary if traversing activities are required only occasionally.

Physical/Environmental Activities
