Seeking House-Wide Clinical Nurse Educator!

Baptist Health Floyd, Education and Development

L&D, Postpartum, or NICU background desired.

Part-time (24 Hours Weekly), Days

Occasional evenings and weekends required

Job Duties:

The Clinical Nurse Educator implements educational initiatives based on the needs of the organization and will function as a teacher, expert clinician, change agent, mentor, and professional role model.The educator will perform annual assessments of staff learning needs, and plan, implement and evaluate programs based on assessment. The educator will organize and direct new employee orientation in conjunction will unit management. He/she will play a role in performance improvement by assisting in formulation of policies related to care and promoting the integration of evidence-based practice at the bedside. The educator will maintain current knowledge of trends, issues, changes in practice or equipment which may impact positively or negatively on patient/family outcomes.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in nursing required. Master's degree desired.

Current Indiana or compact state RN license.

BLS for Healthcare Provider required.

NRP certification required within 1 year of hire.

STABLE certification required within 1 year of hire.

Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience in an acute care setting required.

Certification in area of specialty. If no certification, will obtain certification in area of specialty within first 2 years or as directed by the certifying body.

Minimum3 years of experience as a RN, with L&D, Postpartum, or NICU experience preferred.

Fetal Monitoring Instructor experienced preferred.
