Job Duties
The Director of Operations oversees the day-to-day operations of the ECU Baseball program in accordance with the vision of the Head Baseball Coach. This position manages team travel, including arranging flights, hotel accommodations, developing itineraries and schedules, per diem, and making alternate arrangements when unexpected situations arise. This position has primary responsibility for budget management of the baseball program, oversees practice operations, and serves as liaison with the Athletics Department (senior staff and various departments such as media relations, the Pirate Club, ticket office, and athletics training). Reporting to the Head Baseball Coach, this position's responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Travel Planning:
- Handle all Chrome River duties.
- Secure hotel, buses, flight plans, and meals.
- Prepare season travel schedule with head coach and communicate to student development.
- Secure practice facilities and coordinate travel party with head coach.
- Handle travel money, meal per diems, and home/away game ticket allotment.

Practice Coordinator:
- Communicate with athletic operations practice times and needs.
Responsible for Time Management:
- Communicate with athletic operations practice times and needs.
- Communicate with student-athletes the weekly Time Management Plan.
Team Marketing:
- Liaison between marketing, sports information, and the student-athletes.
- Assist with operating and producing content for the team's social media accounts.
Compliance:
- Have knowledge of NCAA rules and communicate with compliance office.
- Responsible for all compliance forms for travel.
- Responsible for working with baseball staff on all aspects of ACS software system.
Team Functions:
- Organize and execute the annual Baseball Banquet Fundraiser.
- Organize with head coach end of fall dinner for team.
Assist head coach in planning senior day, parent's day, little league day, Letter winner's day, etc.
- Assist Director of Player Development for coordinating videos for all practices, home, and away contest.
- Assist Director of Player Development with supervising student managers for video production.
Teamworks:
- Keeping team calendar.
- Keeping track of departmental budget.
Communications:
- Manage both incoming and outgoing communications for the team and coaching staff at Clark-LeClair Stadium.
- Serve as liaison between the public and the ECU Baseball program.
- Build quality relationships and work collaboratively and professionally with Pirate Club, athletics, and University staff, students, business vendors and all donors and stakeholders bi-monthly.
- Abide by all written policies and procedures of ECU, the Department of Athletics, The Educational Foundation (Pirate Club), the National Collegiate Athletic Association ( NCAA), and all applicable conferences or associations.

Minimum Education/Experience
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Collegiate baseball operations experience required.
- Qualifying degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions and conferred by the time of hire.
