Summary: Goldbelt APEX is looking for a Immunology Research Associate II - Senior Research Associate.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
- Assist in designing and executing experiments to evaluate novel engineered antibodies, utilizing critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Develop and optimize in vitro and ex vivo assays to elucidate cellular and molecular immunological mechanisms.
- Analyze datasets, interpret results, and contribute to presenting findings to cross-functional teams.
- Participate in developing new hypotheses and experimental approaches during team discussions.
- Stay updated on advancements in immunology and antibody engineering and apply this knowledge to ongoing projects.
Qualifications
Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills, with the ability to integrate complex datasets from multiple assay types.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis and data visualization tools (e.g., GraphPad Prism, etc.).
- Excellent documentation practices and attention to detail, including experience with electronic lab notebooks (ELNs).
- Ability to design and execute well-controlled experiments, including power analysis for appropriate sample size determination.
- Familiarity with project management tools and techniques to coordinate complex experimental workflows.
- Strong organizational skills with experience managing multiple projects, creating timelines, and preparing data reports.
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting and on large collaborative projects.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in biological sciences with at least 6 years of experience as a research technician in a microbiology, cell biology, or immunology-focused laboratory, OR a master's degree with at least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Demonstrated experience with basic laboratory procedures, including pipetting, buffer preparation, and autoclaving.
- Proven ability to write laboratory Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Clinical Trial Study Protocols (SSPs).
- Hands-on experience with immunoassays (e.g., ELISA, cell culture, flow cytometry).
- Practical experience working with laboratory animals (such as mice, rats, rabbits, and/or guinea pigs) involving blood collection, injections, and euthanasia.
- Experience with systematic literature review and critical evaluation of scientific papers, including meta-analysis techniques.
- Experience with literature review and critical evaluation of scientific papers.
- Experience in vaccine clinical trial work is advantageous.
- Must be a US citizen (by birth or Naturalization).
