Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
We are seeking a Service Technician to join our Service Depot team in our Billerica, MA facility. This individual's focus would be to work closely with our other Service Depot team members providing evaluation/investigations, troubleshooting, repairing, calibrating and maintaining high performance sensors, analyzers being returned from the field under RMA's.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for determining unit malfunctions and failures and performing repairs and calibrations as suggested by diagnostics and assessment. Following ISO procedures to perform calibrations.
  • Document and provide accurate detailed technical findings, observations and materials used for all services and calibrations performed during repair and unit evaluations.
  • Provide a high level of customer service, and able to work as an effective, collaborative team member.
  • Responsible for all documentation and follow-up associated with closing out individual RMA's and shipment back to customer. Processing transactions in CRM and SAP.
  • Ensures adequate levels of service inventory is available to meet day to day service needs.
What You Need to Succeed
  • Technical training or equivalent experience in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, Robotics or another technical field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of strong hands-on electro-mechanical background with experience in preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, service repairs, calibrations and testing of a wide variety of assemblies and sub-assemblies.
  • Experienced with hand tools, fixtures and the use of diagnostic materials and test equipment.
  • Must be able to understand and work from drawings, diagrams, technical bulletins, assembly procedures and general work instructions.
  • Able to communicate effectively on failures and provide feedback regarding specific customer repairs, trends being observed/discovered, and unit repair history
  • Strong organizational skills and proven ability in troubleshooting complex instrumentation, equipment or equivalent, ability to absorb and learn quickly and be able to continuously grow.
This position is considered safety sensitive and is subject to drug testing as permitted by law.
