Job Summary

Professionally and effectively market, consult, and educate the advantages of Priority Medicare or Individual benefit plans to prospective members, employers, consultants/agents to achieve personal and corporate membership goals and objectives. All efforts will be done in accordance with Priority Health policies and procedures and CMS guidelines. Substantial knowledge of both individual and employer group products and competition is required. Will be lead trainer for agents and new External Sales Representatives.

Essential Functions
  • Oversees development and delivery of functional training to clerical staff using standard work.

  • Responsible for auditing and developing action plans for process improvement.

  • Schedules complex incoming/outgoing referrals, complex surgeries and in-office procedures, tests, including medical record review of incoming referrals.

  • Performs tracking and trending collaborative review/audits within department/practice.

  • Serves as a subject matter expert/resource to the department/practice.

  • Possesses the ability to perform the roles of Patient Services Representative, Associate and Intermediate roles when necessary.

  • Actively participates in safety initiatives and risk mitigating measures where appropriate and completes all position and unit safety related competencies and requirements on a timely basis.

Qualifications

Required

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • 3 years of relevant experience in insurance billing, access management, patient financial services, electronic health records, lab service support or other related experience.

  • 3 years patient registration
