Position: Prior Authorization Representative Schedule: M-F 8:30am-5:30pm (60-minute lunch break) Start Date: July 8th, 2025 Benefits - (Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K plans, HSA savings, etc.) Pay: $25/HR Extensive Training Provided: 16 weeks of training Office Setting: Cubicle, corporate office, telephonic job, no patient interaction that is face to face, working in an office setting on a Team of 32 Staff Job Description: A Prior Authorization Coordinator is responsible for efficiently and accurately processing prior authorization requests, ensuring timely and appropriate access to care, and adhering to utilization management policies. You will be working in an office setting processing 60-80 referrals per day. They will be responsible for coordinating with the Eligibility Team, Case Managers, and Prior Auth Nurses to submit prior authorizations. * Reach out to members * Daily notification calls over the phone (60-80/day) * Authorization/Denial administrative support * Processing Prior Authorization Requests: * Handling requests from providers, patients, and internal departments, including verifying eligibility, benefits, and collecting necessary documentation * Quality Control and Compliance: * Maintaining turnaround times, ensuring accuracy in processing, and identifying potential errors or issues. * Patient Communication: * Providing clear and accurate information to patients regarding their prior authorization requests Skills/Qualifications: * Health plan knowledge * Inbound/outbound calls * Prior Authorization / Medical Referral experience 1-3 years * Insurance verification * Administrative support * Microsoft office: Word, Outlook * Able to type 35 words per minute #prioritywest2025 Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
