Job Title: Data Center Engineer Duration: 2 Years Work Type: On-site Start Date: June 2025 Experience Level: Expert Job Overview: Our client is seeking a skilled Data Center Engineer to manage and maintain critical infrastructure at a high-availability data center. This role ensures 24/7/365 operational efficiency, supports infrastructure upgrades, and oversees hardware lifecycle management. Key Responsibilities: * Monitor and maintain power, cooling, and environmental systems. * Manage HVAC, UPS, generators, switchgear, and other infrastructure. * Troubleshoot and resolve high-voltage electrical and cabling issues. * Plan for capacity and future growth. * Oversee cabinet layout, power balancing, and floor weight distribution. * Lead and execute infrastructure projects. * Maintain compliance with security and operational protocols. * Provide guidance to external vendors and internal teams. * Track and resolve service tickets using ITSM tools. Must Haves: * 3+ years of experience in data center operations, commercial electrical systems, or HVAC. * Strong Strong experience in high-voltage systems, DC cooling/power and infrastructure troubleshooting. * Experience with system performance monitoring and capacity planning. * Familiarity with IT hardware, software support, and systems analysis. Preferred Skills: * Excellent communication and customer service skills. * Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. * Strong organizational and project management abilities. * Calm under pressure and effective in team environments. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $50.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
