An Inventory Control Supervisor job in Paterson, WA based out of Columbia Crest Winery is available at Ste. Michelle Wine Estates (SMWE). The Inventory Control Supervisor oversees the day-to-day operations of inventory entering and departing company and third-party warehouse locations. Ensuring inventory is well organized and managed both physically and systematically and that materials, products, and supplies are properly accounted for, stored and distributed.

Inventory Control Specialist job responsibilities include:



  • Provide guidance and leadership to inventory team.
  • Enforce and lead inventory control policies and procedures to reduce costs and minimize losses.
  • Research to rectify any inventory discrepancies and guide the implementation of improvement.
  • Track inventory levels and report to management on any changes or trends.
  • Collaborate across Operations Team to assist with understanding of inventory issues and then work to resolve.
  • Develop cycle counting program for finished goods and packaging in E1 platform to work towards long range goal of eliminating yearly annual Physical Inventory.
  • Core team member of Annual Physical Inventory Project.
  • Responsible for slow moving and aging inventory report, partnering with VP of Sales Finance for monthly review to align on Sales focus items.
  • Interface with Brand Team for bi-yearly review of private cellar inventories.
  • Partner with Customer Service Ops Specialist for monthly review of aging International finished goods items and as a conduit to promote sales and mitigate stranded vintages.
  • Work with DTC Ops to obtain D365 reporting including DTC bottle inventory at NW Wine Services to have a full view of all on hand inventories.
  • Ensure departmental compliance with company policies.

Position Requirements:



  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in work experience.
  • 3+ years of previous inventory coordination experience required.
  • 1+ year of supervision experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent organizational, management and communication (oral and written) skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Access as well as JD Edwards Enterprise One
  • High level of initiative and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to sit (or stand at a stand-up desk) for long periods of time.
  • Ability to travel (as needed) to events and/or locations - at times be exposed to various levels of sound and /or temperature
  • Ability to operate computer equipment, smart phones, and/or latest technology as needed.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to have high attention to detail and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older with a history of responsible use of alcohol and other appropriate conduct, as well as fitness to be licensed, permitted, and/or certified by state and/or local regulatory bodies.


Your Compensation:

$78,000 - 88,400 /yr. based upon relevant experience.
