The standard work schedule will be Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm during the Academic Year.

7:00am - 6:00pm during the Summer Months

This position offers remote work allowing employees a combination of onsite and work from home options. The expected remote work schedule for this position will be based upon the needs of the department.

Job Summary

The Instructional Services Coordinator Senior, funded by the Microelectronics and Nanomanufacturing for Veterans Program [MNVP] grant, provides comprehensive program support, facilitates student success initiatives, and coordinates industry partnership development for the grant. This role involves directly supporting veteran student cohorts through advising, career planning, and referral services. The Coordinator also actively cultivates relationships with industry partners to enhance educational opportunities and career placements. Additionally, the Coordinator oversees operational support for the programs in person laboratory activities, ensuring alignment with policies and grant requirements.

Essential Functions

20% - Provides direct student support through advising, career planning, and referrals to appropriate educational and career resources.
15% - Develops and maintains partnerships with industry representatives to expand experiential learning, industry presentations, and employment opportunities for students.
15% - Coordinates and oversees laboratory activities, industry site visits, grant-related and outreach events.
10% - Collaborates with internal departments, coordinating partners, and external agencies to support veteran student enrollment, retention, and successful program completion.
15% - Manages program data collection, reporting, and compliance with grant requirements and institutional standards.
15% - Facilitates regular communication and provides updates to stakeholders including grant administrators, faculty, and industry partners.
10% - Participates in continuous improvement efforts, analyzing program effectiveness and implementing recommended enhancements; Performs other duties as assigned to support the overall success of the grant-funded program.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in education, organizational development or directly related field and two years of related experience such as providing advanced program coordination and consultation that includes one or more of the following: planning, development, and/or implementing program projects and activities in area of assignment. A Master's Degree may be required for some assignments.

OR

An equivalent combination of the conferred degree and directly related full-time work experience as described above sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation, may be considered.

Desired Qualifications

A. Experience as a Student Success Coach, Academic Advisor, or similar role providing direct student support and advising.
B. Experience establishing and maintaining partnerships with industry representatives to support experiential learning and employment opportunities.
C. Experience working with veterans, active-duty military personnel, and/or military-connected students.
D. Demonstrated ability in coordinating and facilitating outreach events, workshops, or industry-related site visits.
E. Experience with program management, analysis, and reporting related to compliance and continuous improvement.
F. Effective communication and interpersonal skills demonstrated through successful collaboration with stakeholder groups, including students, faculty, administrators, and external partners.
G. Proficiency with educational technologies and tools commonly used in advising, remote instruction, and student engagement.

Special Working Conditions

May be required to work at multiple sites or locations. Work Schedule Varies; May be required to work evenings and weekends. This is a short-term position with a projected end date of June 2026 with renewal contingent on funding source. May be exposed to hazardous chemicals within the lab environment.
Possession of a valid State of Arizona Class D Driver's License is required; employee must meet district minimum standards regarding driving:
