Description:
  • Develops applications on Cloud platforms like AWS
  • Capable of developing complex solutions on Cloud platforms under minimal direction from a Cloud Architect and/or a Technical Lead.
Essential Functions & Duties:
  • 5+ years' experience in IT Engineering or Software Development preferred
  • 2+ years, direct experience in Cloud technologies preferred
  • Design, develop, tune and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure focused within AWS
  • Proven experience with EKS, ECS, AMI, ECR, RDS and other related AWS infrastructure technologies for deployment of an application using Docker container
  • Strong expertise with Infrastructure-as-Code and orchestration tools such as Terraform
  • Deep understanding of CI/CD pipeline configurations
  • Experience using scripting languages such as Python and Bash
  • Experience with one or more container tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Design, implement and improve security compliant boundary protection and network infrastructure
  • Deep knowledge and experience of different storage and file system technologies
  • Experience with networking technologies Load balancer setup, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, SSL, firewalls
  • Understanding of cloud migration procedures and automation within AWS
  • Experience developing and updating technical, design and security documentationutilizing AWS Well-Architected Framework
  • Act as a cloud Subject Matter Expert for stakeholders and team members
  • Team player with excellent communication skills
  • Very strong technical curiosity to learn and passionate about new technologies and cloud trends
Skills, Qualifications and Certifications of Best Candidates:
  • Understanding of API Gateway technologies and SFTP implementations.
  • Deployment experience with Tomcat, JBOSS, Apache, nginx software.
  • Experience the with the Atlassian Tool Suite including Confluence, Jira, Crowd, Bitbucket, and Bamboo
  • Familiarity with frameworks such as FISMA, FedRAMP, etc.
  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional
  • AWS Certified Solutions SysOps Administrator / Developer
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Preferred)
    Citizenship or Work Authorization Required:
    • Top Secret Clearance or ability to obtain a Top-Secret Clearance is required
    • Must be a U.S. citizen.
    Required Education, certification & Experience:
      • A BS degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science, from an ABET accredited or CAE designated institution fulfills the educational requirement .

In Lieu of education requirement listed, candidate must have the required certification or will obtain required certification within 6 months of the start date.       Preferred Education & Experience: Commensurate experience in IT and in new and related older technology that directly relates to the required area of expertise.
      Compensation for roles at Synergy varies depending on a wide variety of factors including but not limited to the requirements of the role; education and certifications; knowledge, training, skills and abilities; level of experience; geographic location; and alignment with market data, law, and other business and organizational needs.As required by local law, the posted pay range represents the lowest to the highest pay that Synergy believes in good faith it might pay for this particular job, depending on the circumstances. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
      A reasonable estimate of the current pay range is: $110,000 - $120,000.
