Housing Program Director Compass Health is currently looking for a Housing Program Director! What you will be performing The Housing Program Director is responsible for the development and implementation of a strategic plan, leading the effort to enact strong policies, and for fundraising and management of the program. The Director's primary responsibilities are to increase the impact of Compass Health's mission, program, and activities while maintaining funding and staff capacity sufficient for these activities.
- Plans, organizes, and oversees all activities of the department and participates in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.
- Effectively communicates strategic plans to Executive & Housing Teams.
- Site visit with Compass Health Management and Housing Program Team on a regular basis. Site visit will entail in-person meetings with staff and supervisors, property managers, and community members to maintain funding relationships.
- Develops and administers various Housing plans, policies, and procedures.
- Works closely with the funding agencies assuring compliance with all the reporting requirements based on the contract.
- Develops service objectives and manages utilization of resources to accomplish objectives.
- Ensures that all services and quality improvement efforts take place according to Compass Health policies and practices and are in accordance with all relevant laws, rules, and regulations.
- Ensures implementation and improvement based on feedback related to client satisfaction and outcome data and other quality improvement indicators.
- Ensures that all services provided within the area of responsibility meet the established standards.
- Ensures provision of services is in accordance with requirements and regulations of all regulatory bodies.
- Maintains appropriate documentation and compliance with agency standards and regulations agencies policies and procedures.
- Ensures all data and reporting produced by the Housing department is accurate and meets all applicable compliance requirements.
- Hires, supervises, and evaluates program manager as well as other staff.
- Acts as a liaison for the department with local housing authorities, community landlords, clients, vendors, and other program and housing related entities as needed.
- Develops and monitors budget, policies and procedures while maintaining quality and productivity.
- Participates in regularly scheduled supervision and team meetings.
- Remains compliant with required trainings and certifications.
- Behaves in an ethical and professional manner consistent with agency policy, state law, and licensing entities if applicable.
- Understands and practices safekeeping of client protected health information per Compass Health's HIPAA and other agency policies and procedures.
- Demonstrates respect for diversity and a commitment to developing multicultural competency and sensitivity.

What you will be carrying along
- BA/BS Degree required.
- 5+ years of experience with federal and state grant management for housing, or a comparable combination of education and experience.
- Proven success in proactively researching and identifying potential grant opportunities.
- Experience working in a non-profit setting preferred.
- Experience in residential services and/or supportive housing programs.
- 3+ years supervisory/management/leadership experience required.
- Valid Washington State Driver's License required including vehicle and appropriate insurance, if applicable

- Knowledge of housing contract compliance, Landlord Tenant Laws, and Fair Housing.
- Basic knowledge of HIPAA regulations.
- Familiarity with the client population served.
- Excellent customer service skills with both internal and external customers.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate clearly, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work individually and work cooperatively with others as an effective team member.
- Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to multitask within a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain a positive, solution-focused demeanor when responding to conflicts or problems.
- General computer proficiency, with proven expertise in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to pass pre-employment criminal background check, which may or may not include an additional search by DSHS.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT The employee will be working in an administrative office environment and will provide outreach to community settings as needed, which could include client homes, hospitals, medical facilities, schools, jails, community organizations, etc. While performing the duties of this job, the employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, and use close vision.
