The Advisor I will provide specialized advising services for students in the Honors Program and assist with the day-to-day operations of our multi-faceted office. The Advisor I advises talented students in every school and college with multiple options and complex choices. They will act as an advocate and referral source, providing access to information, consistent outreach, and follow-up to support students' academic, career, and personal goals. The Advisor also serves as a liaison between students and faculty, staff, and administrators, helping resolve administrative issues while promoting student self-reliance. Additional responsibilities include instructing Honors First-Year Seminars, developing co-curricular programs, supervising an Honors student organization, and participating in self-selected goals and projects to support Honors students. Performs other duties as assigned. Required Education & Experience: Bachelor's Degree and least six months advising experience in an academic setting in higher education. Demonstrated experience with public speaking in both large and small groups. Required Skills & Abilities:
