_________________________________________________________________________________________________ The Commercial Banking Office III (CBO III) is responsible for high level commercial business development sales efforts that are primarily centered on products and services meant for business clients. CBO III's will also be responsible for referring their clients to other lines within the bank when applicable to meet the customers' needs. The CBO III will examine, evaluate, and authorize or recommend approval of customer applications for extension of lines of credit, commercial loans and owner-occupied commercial real estate loans that are generally over $500,000 and for companies within the bank's footprint. The CBO III will also originate from time to time non-owner occupied commercial real estate transactions that are generally under $5 million. The CBO III will also be responsible for generating commercial deposits. While other duties may be assigned, the essential duties and responsibilities of the CBO III include, but are not limited to:
Creating and implementing individual business plans that align with the regional, market and Commercial Division's overall objectives and goals.
Identifies and develops prospects for loan and deposit opportunities. Uses tools made available by the bank, as well as other resources to develop prospects.
Prepares pre-call plans to optimize effectiveness of each call. Involves teammates within or outside of the Commercial Division when essential for the best possible customer experience.
Interviews prospects/applicants and requests essential information for loan applications or deposit generation.
Responsible for ensuring that credit and pricing parameters used for their prospects align with the corporate goals and objectives.
Working collaboratively with the Credit personnel and Commercial Administration Team personnel to ensure efficient workflow for all loan applications, leading to superior customer experiences. This may include the formation of a "Deal Discussion Memo" and "Term Sheet" that is vetted by appropriate personnel as part of the loan vetting and sales process.
Works collaboratively with Retail Banking personnel and Camden National Wealth Management personnel to ensure that a "relationship" approach is being taken to meet customer needs.
Is responsible for the accuracy of their submissions to the Loan Pipeline Report and will update the report accordingly.
Manages own efforts toward meeting or exceeding targeted production goals.
Coordinating, through attorneys and Commercial Administration Team personnel, the production of all commercial loan documentation for self-generated loans.
Actively managing, either directly or through the collaborative efforts of others within the Commercial Administration Team, all commercial loan relationships assigned to the CBO III. This includes collection efforts when needed, credit file maintenance, site visits and loss mitigation efforts when applicable.
Frequently representing Camden National Bank at various business, community and social functions.
Being actively involved, at leadership or committee level positions, with non-profits within the market, region or state.

Desired skills, background, and expertise: The CBO III must possess:
Successful track record of goal attainment as an individual producer.
Formal credit analysis training/experience or the experience and educational equivalent.
Ability to work collaboratively at all levels of the organization.
Proven ability to successfully communicate, interact, and build effective relationships.
Must possess a valid driver's license.
Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree and ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, memoranda. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Mathematical Skills Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
