POSITION SPECIFICS

Penn State Altoona invites candidates for the job of Head Men's & Women's Wrestling Coach. Reports directly to the Director of Athletics and is responsible for the management of all aspects of the men's & women's wrestling program.

Duties include, but will not be limited to competition coaching, recruitment of student athletes, scheduling, practice sessions, team travel, supporting student-athletes and the supervision of assistant coaches. Ability to physically demonstrate complex movements and skills required

Candidate must have demonstrated success in a wrestling program at the college or an equivalently high level, including evidence of successful student retention and team success. Demonstrated ability to recruit, motivate and develop Division III student-athletes, knowledge of the sport and a verifiable ability to teach both fundamentals and strategies of the sport is necessary.

This person must possess a working knowledge of NCAA rules, a commitment to high academic standards, and the NCAA Division III philosophy. A successful candidate will have a reputation for integrity. Penn State Altoona is a member of the NCAA Division III and the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC). This position will assist with special projects and event management as needed.
