Position Function |
Oversee and support the implementation of the edTPA assessment and prepare students, faculty, and mentor teachers on all aspects of edTPA. Serve as a supervisor in the teacher residency, incorporating both onsite observation and integration of the edTPA assessment within the residency semester. |
Minimum Education |
Bachelor's degree and licensing in teaching field, educational administration, or instructional leadership |
Minimum Experience |
At least two years P-12 classroom teaching experience and demonstrated effective teaching |
Minimum Other |
- Willingness and ability to travel; possess and maintain a valid driver's license and be insurable under the university's auto fleet policy.
- Demonstrated proficiency in designing, delivering , and planning presentations.
- Demonstrated evidence of strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated evidence of strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated intermediate level of computer skills specifically Canvas, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, as well as familiarity with social media tools and learning management systems.
- Willing and able to conduct meetings and attend programs in the evenings.

Implement all training for each task of edTPA. Develop materials and present at workshops, seminars, orientations, and other student and faculty edTPA support sessions. This includes conducting at least two weekly edTPA sessions at night for student teachers, separated by TC programs and non-TC programs.

Create, maintain, and facilitate edTPA Canvas modules for candidates and faculty within the Student Teaching Canvas Community. |
