The Pricing Specialistmanages the quoting, deal and review process end-to-end. This role is responsible for driving collaboration between required internal stakeholders, ensuring quote is accurate and delivered on time. Day-to-Day Role:
- Learn the company's and business unit's philosophies, strategies, procedures, systems, structure and distribution channels
- Work with Business Unit sales personnel (and internal functions) as a first point of contact for all quote, renewal, competitive situations, and other negotiations
- Assign pricing, program, and contract negotiation requests to complex or standard process as deals come to the pipeline
- Facilitatesand ensures adherence to roles and responsibilities during the deal and quoting process
- Manage deal flow by proactively identifying and prioritizing opportunities and deadlines, managing resource allocation between current and future deals
- Identify and assemble a cross functional deal team including Sales, Business Unit Leadership, Customer Success, and other internal SMEs, as needed
- Managecustomer contract negotiations, collaborating internally and externally to work towards execution as required by customers
- Responsible for coordinating deal reviews, obtaining approvals, drafting and submission of quotes and terms and conditions
- Make effective decision(s) and or recommendations, in line with the company's strategies, when presented with multiple options for how to proceed
- Facilitatecommunication and collaboration across functions using market and customer expertise to address any challenges or questions related to deals
- Advise and make recommendations regarding future product and business strategy decisions with performance metrics based on feedback on quote result, customer satisfaction/negotiation, and deal performance
- Ability to consider potential outcomes and impact to organization's success when making decisions or providing a recommendation
- Aggregate various pricing analytics inputs from deal team and pricing functions to inform deal quoting
- Support renewals and regular reviews of customer deals to ensure compliance with contract terms and pricing strategy
Core Skills and Qualifications:
- Associate's degree with two (2) years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
- Basic knowledge of and experience working with financial concepts such as ROI, net present value, and other related analysis methods
- Ability to maintain composure and adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced, customer-focused work environment, characterized by rapid change, minimal lead times, and multiple competing priorities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills necessary to persuade and influence decision making of individuals, groups, or work teams, and to explain difficult issues
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and consistency
- Ability to use critical thinking to solve issues and develop solutions
- Ability to demonstrate personal accountability, take ownership of work, and apply learned concepts
- Ability to streamline processes, integrate, and associate pieces of information gathered from multiple sources and apply to projects
- Ability to establish project plans, regularly monitor and track progress on work projects, and communicate with project partners
- Ability to prioritize workload, and tasks to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to identify issues, compare data, investigate and resolve discrepancies
- Experience using Microsoft Office, including the ability to create professional reports, documents, presentations and spreadsheets in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint
