The successful candidate:

Schedule: PRN, primarily Wednesdays, 4-6 hours per-shift

Position Summary:

The Chaplain provides compassionate spiritual care and support to patients, families, and staff. This role involves direct clinical visitation, spiritual assessment, and emotional support, helping individuals navigate the challenges of illness, grief, and healing within a healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer spiritual and emotional support to patients, families, and staff.

  • Conduct clinical visitations and spiritual assessments.

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to support holistic patient care.

  • Provide crisis intervention and grief support as needed.

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A., B.S., or M.Div. preferred)

  • Equivalent experience in spiritual care or counseling may be considered

Minimum Experience:

  • Relevant clinical education or training in spiritual counseling or chaplaincy

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Compassionate presence and ability to support individuals of diverse backgrounds and beliefs

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a healthcare environment
