Job Description:

Baptist Health Medical Group is looking for an Assistant Vice President, Physician Contracting to join their team. Role is work from home, but requires residency in KY or IN.

The Associate Vice President, Physician Contracting leads all aspects of physician contracting for Baptist Health, supporting the recruitment, retention, and engagement of physicians through efficient contract management and compliance with regulatory standards. This role oversees the development of contract renewal plans, manages complex negotiations, and collaborates closely with leadership and stakeholders to ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Additionally, the Associate Vice President drives continuous process improvements, leverages data analytics for strategic decision-making, and ensures that contracting operations support system-wide initiatives and meet performance standards. This leader also builds strong relationships with internal and external partners to support seamless contract execution and maintain high standards across all regions.

Essential Duties:

  • Responsible for designing and overseeing the contracting process for modifying and renewing physician agreements.
  • Creates a comprehensive renewal work plan annually, manages relationships with internal teams, and provides timely communication to physicians.
  • Key activities include meeting deadlines, managing complex negotiations, and assigning directly responsible individuals (DRIs) to monitor contract milestones.
  • Manage the compensation overview and term sheet process for physician candidates
  • Develops and maintains expertise in recruiting International Medical Graduates (IMG) - immigration/visa waivers/permanent residency
  • Collaborates with recruitment leadership to prioritize offers, streamline contracting, and ensure timely preparation of compensation terms for initial site visits.
  • Lead analytical projects that inform strategic decision-making, deliver insights through data, and support long-term organizational objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related field required. MBA or MHA preferred.
  • 5+ years experience in medical group practice and/or health care administration, preferably working on physician alignment strategy, within a multi-hospital system.
  • Incumbent must be available within the system footprint, some overnight travel needed.
