About the Job

Research grant principal investigator duties:

  • Develop and implement clinical trial protocols in compliance with regulatory requirements and ethical standards
  • Collaborate with study sponsors, university, and regulatory agencies to ensure trial success
  • Oversee patient recruitment and enrollment, ensuring study timelines and milestones are met
  • Manage trial budgets and resources effectively
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of study participants and maintain accurate records of adverse events
  • Collaborate with study teams, including investigators, study coordinators and grants administrative staff
  • Monitor and analyze trial data to ensure quality and accuracy
  • Stay up-to-date on advances in clinical research and regulatory requirements
Qualifications

All required qualification must be on application materials

Required Qualifications:

  • MD degree
  • Completion ophthalmology residency
  • Board certified or eligible in Ophthalmology
About the Department

The Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Neurosciences (OVNS) has experts in all six subspecialty areas of ophthalmology. OVNS ophthalmologists treat a full spectrum of health issues relating to the eye, including the most complicated and challenging cases of glaucoma, cataracts, conditions of the retina and cornea, and ocular cancer. Approximately 71,000 patients are seen annually in OVNS treatment centers, by teams who are dedicated to providing excellent patient care, discovering new treatments, and educating the next generation of eye care professionals.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Rate: $106.68 per hour; depending on education/qualifications/experience.
