TITLE: Warehouse Person A

  • Openings available on multiple shifts:

    • 12-hour shifts -7am to 7pm and 7pm to 7am rotating days off - every other weekend off (2-2-3)
    • 8-hour shifts Monday-Friday days

POSITION OBJECTIVE: To ensure the accurate, efficient, and safe movement, storage, and handling of materials within the warehouse by utilizing the Warehouse Location Management System and operating material handling equipment. This role is responsible for executing inventory transactions, staging and loading shipments, maintaining warehouse organization, and supporting production and shipping operations while adhering to all company safety policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Must be able to operate Stand-up forklift, Cherry Picker, or Reach forklift.
  • Basic Mathematical skills required: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Computer skills - position requires accurate entries of information via handheld scanners.
  • Ability to maintain and complete daily inventory paperwork.
  • Must be able to read and write in English.


  • Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
  • Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.



JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Proficient in use of Warehouse Location Management System

    • Ability to operate scanners efficiently and accurately to:



        • perform put away of production
        • process orders and send information for billing
        • perform maintenance move operations to ensure maximum storage locations
        • identify, locate, and adjust locations using where is, count, and adjust functions






  • Reads work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments and material and equipment needs.
  • Responsible for picking customer orders in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Prepares orders for shipment by addressing, labeling, and wrapping pallets.
  • Install protective devices, such as bracing to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported.
  • Stages finished product in proper locations for loading.
  • Loads finished orders on trucks.
  • Unloads materials from trucks or containers and moves to appropriate locations.
  • Records numbers of units handled and moved, using daily production sheets or work tickets.
  • Moves freight, stock, and other materials to and from storage and production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, and containers, by hand or using electric pallet trucks, fork-trucks and other equipment.
  • Maintains a clean and neat work area in the warehouse.
  • Ability to safely operate forklift.
  • Must pass all of the required training.
  • Abides by all Pitt Plastics safety policies and procedures.



TRAINING:



  • Hands on training, group and peer training.



MACHINES, TOOLS, EQUIPMENT, ELECTRONIC DEVICES & SOFTWARE:



  • Stand-up forklift, RF Scanner, company specific software.



VISUAL ACTIVITY REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION:



  • Reading Comprehension - Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
  • Quality Control - Conduct tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
