*About the Role:*
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Inpatient Medical Coder to join our remote team. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and assigning ICD-10-CM/PCS codes to inpatient medical records to ensure accurate billing and compliance with federal regulations. *Key Responsibilities:* * Review inpatient medical records and assign appropriate diagnosis and procedure codes. * Ensure coding accuracy and compliance with official coding guidelines and payer requirements. * Collaborate with clinical and billing teams to resolve documentation discrepancies. * Maintain productivity and quality standards as defined by the department. * Stay current with coding updates, regulations, and best practices. *Additional Skills & Qualifications* * Must be certified in either: CCA, CCS, CPC, CPC-A, RHIA or RHIT * 5+ Years of inpatient medical coding experience * Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS and DRG assignment. * Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and coding software. * Excellent attention to detail and time management skills. *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
