Position Summary

The UNM Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences is seeking an experienced Faculty Services Rep, a team player demonstrating a keen eye for detail, who is very organized and personable. The Faculty Service Rep is
responsible for administering, developing, and managing programs that support
faculty endeavors within the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral
Sciences. Responsibilities include faculty hiring, contracting, promotion and
tenure, leave and retirement, as well as handling sensitive inquiries and human
resource functions. They will administer all aspects
of faculty recruitment, onboarding, orientation, contract processing, credentialing,
evaluations, and the generation of new and revised contracts. Position will
provide advice and guidance to faculty and administrative staff on a wide range
of faculty hiring and faculty HR matters.
Job
duties to include:

  • Manage hiring and recruitment; advertise and post positions, coordinate
    applicant evaluations/interviews with search committees, oversee offer letters and onboarding for
    new faculty
  • Track applicant progress through the recruitment and onboarding workflow
    and provide support and feedback as required
  • Advise faculty on promotion and tenure regulations and
    procedures; Coordinate and review promotion dossiers
  • Manage and process new and revised faculty contracts and annual
    performance reviews
  • Advise faculty on leave and retirement policies and
    procedures
  • Address confidential and sensitive inquiries related to
    faculty and department and school administration
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of and compliance with
    all related policies, procedures, laws, and regulations

Conditions of Employment

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 6 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.



Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of UNM HSC, state, and federal HR policies
  • Expertise in faculty affairs, recruitment, and employee
    relations
  • Proficiency
    in Microsoft suite applications (specifically Outlook, Access, Excel) and
    SmartSheet
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and advisory
    capabilities
  • Experience
    handling multiple, competing priorities, and ensuring timely completion of
    project deadlines
  • Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
  • Ability to
    handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion
