Position Summary

As a Student Worker for Special Events, you will assist with providing customer service during athletic and other campus events. Responsibilities may include tasks such as ticket scanning, concession support, parking assistance, and other event-related duties. This is an on-call position, with shifts scheduled around specific events including basketball, football, baseball, soccer, track meets, and other activities held at athletic fields and stadiums.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Welcome guests and scan tickets at venue entrances.
  • Answer guest questions and help them find their seats.
  • Check tickets to ensure they are valid for specific seating areas.
  • Assist guests with special needs, such as helping them to their seats.
  • Help with parking assistance.
  • Help with concession support.
  • Address and help resolve guest concerns or complaints in a professional manner.
  • Direct guests to exits or provide guidance in the event of an emergency.
  • May help verify staff access to restricted areas and give directions around the venue.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by event supervisors or management.
