Job Description:

Job Summary
  • Conducts analysis to create and vet quality solutions. Effectively manages projects and sets priorities based on business objectives and delivers value by meeting the business's strategic objectives. Manages project demand, evaluates level of risk, aligns the best resources and ensures success throughout the entire project/system life cycle.
  • This Sr Supply Chain Management (SCM) Operations Analyst will join a Team and Center of Excellence responsible for supporting the business through SCM and on Source to Pay (S2P) systems and processes. This role will play an important part in large, strategic initiatives and implementation plans. They'll work collaboratively with a variety of Customers, learn and grow in their expertise each day, and help to pilot the future of Southwest Airlines.

Responsibilities
  • Effectively applies knowledge and skills of analysis, business processes, systems, project methodologies, requirement definitions and testing to develop quality solutions and implement Source-To-Pay initiatives or projects that reduce costs and promote efficiencies, and improve Customer value
  • Maintain working knowledge of administrative functions on all SCM Purchasing Systems and perform systems administration activities (i.e., security, master data, integrations, content, templates, parameters, etc.) and supports projects as a subject matter expert with an understanding of the system functionality
  • Take on challenges of unfamiliar tasks; Experiments to find new solutions & identifies and creates the processes necessary to complete complex tasks including system improvements
  • Partner with Technology Team members, on behalf of the SCM Business, to coordinate and facilitate Source-To-Pay technology enhancements and solutions
  • Create content and conduct training to help lead resolution of Customer Service issues by explaining logic, processes, and procedures and checks for comprehensive understanding
  • Communicate complex Source-To-Pay system and process information fluently with diverse Stakeholders and Leaders; Seamlessly adapts style to meet audience needs and promotes SCM goals and initiatives through extensive relationship development
  • Develop presentations and comprehensive project reports to relevant Stakeholders to promote the value of system changes to aim Customers buy-in
  • Proactively collaborates with Internal Customers to assess pain points and develop solutions to improve capabilities and optimize the Source-To-Pay systems
  • Work with internal and external auditing departments to ensure departmental practices are in compliance with Federal regulations
  • Coordinate content and authors policy updates and publishes internally
  • May perform other job duties as directed by Employee's Leaders
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of S2P Enterprise systems and third party application development platforms with integrations or dependencies on both existing and planned SCM systems, policies and procedures to automate business solutions
  • Knowledge of how to manage time effectively through organizing work and seeking guidance as needed to resolve issues/questions in order to meet deadlines and service level agreements
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources
  • Knowledge of administrative and systems, word processing managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology
  • Skilled in using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
  • Skilled in understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making
  • Ability to communicate complex issues in a structured, concise manner and adjust communication style to meet the needs of the audience
  • Ability to provide input to develop, document, and implement Team operational processes and procedures to provide consistent Customer support
  • Ability to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions (includes finding a relationship among seemingly unrelated events)
Education
  • Required: High School Diploma or GED
  • Required: Bachelor's Degree
Experience
  • Advanced-level experience, seasoned and specialized knowledge in:
    • Procurement, strategic sourcing, analytics and/or enterprise systems administration
    • Leading enterprise systems or process enhancement projects
    • Source-To-Pay systems with preference to the following: SAP ERP, SAP Ariba, QuickBase
    • Solution design, system set-up/configuration, and testing of SAP P2P modules
    • Integration or dependency management with SAP Ariba Procurement Solutions, Finance, Accounts Payable, and Accounting

Physical Abilities
  • Ability to perform work duties from limited space work station/desk/office area for extended periods of time
  • Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job
  • Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job
Other Qualifications
  • Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines
  • Must meet confidentiality expectations as to confidential, proprietary, and sensitive Company information
  • Travel: Less than 10%

Pay & Benefits

  • Competitive market salary from $95,750.00-106,400.00* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the company.
