We are currently searching for an experienced Civil CAD Drafter 2 to support our Midwest Region located in Lexington, KY.

What you'll be doing:

• Utilize a CAD workstation to prepare civil engineering drawings
• Utilize theoretical and practical design knowledge to aid in the plan preparation
• Work closely with engineers and other designers to ensure coordinated design systems
• Compile data and perform dimensional and routine calculations required for the preparation of drawings

What you need to have:

• Bachelor's Degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related Technology preferred
• A minimum of five (5) years of experience related to the development and preparation of civil engineering plans
• Experience in Autodesk Civil 3D required
• Working knowledge of Computer Automated Drafting Design (CADD) or other applications or design or modeling skills
• Proficient industry knowledge and technology trends
• Experience using AutoCAD in preparing boundary and topographic survey for gas transmission projects
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening to ensure a safe and productive work environment. Volkert adheres to federal guidelines, which may include testing for substances such as marijuana. Please note that federal regulations may differ from state-specific guidelines.
• Valid driver's license.
• A satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR).
