Media Specialist This position requires an active TS/Sensitive Compartmental Information (SCI) clearance. Cherokee Insights is seeking a Media Specialist formulate concepts, perform layout of graphic design and produce final products, consisting of photographic, text and abstract illustrations as well as computer graphics and animation programs in support of INSCOM missions. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice. Media Specialist Responsibilities Include:
- Develop, design and edit charts, graphs, video and other electronic media as required to support briefings, reports, multimedia presentations, web pages, business cards, signs, brochures, programs, original design work, posters, static displays, marketing products, diagrams, video presentation materials, and other mediums that result in a clear focus, theme, and message for intended audiences
- Consult with clients to transform and interpret ideas and information into graphic products.
- Define requirements, analyze existing problems, constraints and capabilities and develop recommendations and/or solutions that result in a complete product.
- Analyze content, organization, and written presentation of tentative findings, draft reports, and final reports.
- Work with clients to ensure data is accurately developed, coordinated and integrated.
- Recommend improvements to designs.
- Offer options and make initial decisions on design matters, e.g., size, layout, kind and quality of materials, medium, color schemes, typography, lighting effects, or specific visual elements to be incorporated such as photos, illustrations, videos, etc.
- Determine how best to present specified subject matter information, to include assessing whether there is sufficient information and visual material immediately available and identifying possible sources of additional information and material needed to develop a visual product.
- Coordinate product development with the clients to ensure that standards and expectations are met and that any and all products conform to the desired specifications.
- Create and maintain a work order request tool and project tracker on SIPR Portal.
- Attend and actively participate in meetings related to graphic support requirements and projects.
- Manage and maintain an electronic image/product library available to personnel.
- Craft and design crests, seals, coins, images, signage and similar products to support recruiting and job fair events, recruiting missions, as well as branding for missions, offices, training, conference rooms, etc.
- Use government-provided equipment to produce final graphic design product deliverables IAW suspense's established with clients.
- For graphic design products requiring external production, package work orders and graphic design templates/masters for submission to vendor and use ODC to acquire final products.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Media Specialist Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
- Active TS/SCI security clearance
- Bachelor's degree in fine arts or five (5) years of professional graphic design work and production experience
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience with graphic design and production with standard print, online, presentation and media products supporting marketing and strategic communications missions.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience and master-level proficiency with industry/commercial standard graphic design software (Desktop publishing, Adobe creative Suite, Adobe Pro, etc.)
- Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
