The Executive Assistant to the President's Office provides support for all functions of the Office of the President including communications/correspondence, planning, record keeping, filing, budget monitoring, receiving guests, and other executive assistant duties. The Executive Assistant to the President's Office supports all workflow processes for the President and the Executive Assistant to the President.

Essential Duties:

  • Supports and manages all communications and correspondence for the Office of the President including telephone, email, and written correspondence, in addition to compiling and filing meeting records, communications and completed work associated with the office
  • Manages the master calendar, organizational charts, travel itineraries, and event planning including arranging food services, technology support, room reservations, record keeping and other meeting support as directed by the Office of the President
  • Acts as liaison to other internal programs and departments and provides guidance in areas of expertise
  • May be asked to manage tasks for the President, Board of Trustees, or Cabinet including scheduling meetings, collecting and reviewing proposed requests, collaborating with the Public Relations department to fulfill our FOIA requirements, preparing and disseminating meeting agendas and information, taking meeting minutes, and following up with the Executive Assistant to the President to make sure that committee's minutes and recommendations are forwarded to the Board of Trustees for action
  • Maintain professional demeanor with regards to sensitive and confidential information
  • Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain harmonious working relationships with others
  • Additional duties may be assigned as necessary to support the goals and objectives of the department and college

Rate of Pay: $19.76 per hour *Higher compensation may be considered based on qualifications directly related to position.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or other related field
  • At least 2 years of administrative experience

Applicable equivalencies (work experience and/or educational achievements) may be considered on the above minimum qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in CEO/President level administration
  • Experience in event planning

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent Computer Skills; knowledge of Microsoft Office system
  • Should be able to work effectively with employees and all levels of leadership within the institution
  • Must be able to handle highly confidential material efficiently and effectively
  • Must possess strong time management, multi-tasking, attention to details, and organizational skills
  • Ability to analyze information and recommend appropriate action
  • Knowledge of planning, research, and analysis techniques and procedures
