POSITION SUMMARY:

The Strategic Sourcing Leader plays a critical role in shaping and advancing Dominium's procurement strategy. This individual will lead both direct and indirect sourcing initiatives across our national portfolio of 40,000+ apartment units. The primary focus is on implementing strategic procurement practices that drive cost savings, promote dis-inflation, and improve overall purchasing efficiency. This is a high-impact role that will build and formalize the sourcing function within the organization, offering the opportunity to influence business outcomes and contribute meaningfully to Dominium's financial performance and long-term growth

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:



  • Develops and implements comprehensive strategic sourcing strategies aimed at cost dis-inflation and improved procurement processes across Dominium's 235 sites and 40,000 units.
  • Identifies, evaluates, and manages strategic supplier relationships to ensure the best value, quality, and reliability for all goods and services procured.
  • Leads contract negotiations to secure favorable terms and conditions while maximizing cost-saving opportunities.
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders to identify cost-saving, sustainable, and maintainable solutions and drive initiatives that enhance the overall financial performance of the company.
  • Stays abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and innovations to capitalize on emerging opportunities and adjust sourcing strategies accordingly.
  • Develops risk mitigation strategies related to supply chain disruptions and ensures business continuity through supplier diversification and contingency planning.
  • Continuously assesses and improves sourcing processes, promoting best practices and streamlining procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensures sourcing activities align with ethical practices, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
  • Collaborates with various departments, including Finance, Operations, and Development, to align sourcing strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Leads cross-functional project teams when necessary to implement sourcing strategies, process improvements, or supplier transitions
    Performs additional duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS: (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, Training and Experience.)



  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field; MBA or equivalent combinations of education and experience.
  • 8 years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in a large corporate environment.
    Proven track record of successfully leading cost optimization and strategic sourcing initiatives.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Familiarity with real estate, construction, or property management industries is a plus.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the drive to create and implement new strategies in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
