This position is funded for 1 year(s); continuation past 1 year(s) will be based on university need, performance, and/or availability of funding.POSITION SPECIFICS SustainPSUis seeking an energetic, organized, and innovative entry-level Sustainability Student and Public Programming Coordinator to manage, implement, and help design existing and new student- and public-facing programming that advances understanding of and engagement with sustainability. This position will be responsible for the implementation of many SustainPSU's existing signature public and student programs,including, but not limited to:

Professional development opportunities and mentorship will be provided for this position to serve as a career springboard for those interested in fields in sustainability, educational programming, event management, communications, community engagement, and/or higher education. The position is filled at the Professional level. It is located at the University Park campus in State College with occasional minimal travel to Commonwealth Campuses as needed. Occasional night and weekend hours will be required.A flexible work arrangement that combines some remote and on-campus work may be considered.Questions related to flexible work should be directed to the hiring manager during the interview process. BACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCES This position requires the following clearances in addition to applicable background checks: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.
