Job Purpose

The Senior Business Analyst will serve as a strategic liaison between business stakeholders and the RentalMan ERP development team. This role is critical in translating business needs into functional requirements, ensuring the ERP system evolves to support operational excellence across the equipment rental lifecycle.

How you will make a difference:



  • Identify any defects and/or potential quality issues per defined processes and escalate potential quality issues immediately to management.
  • Be the liaison between teams working as an intermediary who helps support and translate needs across business units and functions.
  • Partner with development and technical teams to ensure that they understand the specifications, conduct business process modeling and generate applicable scenarios for the testing team.
  • Drive investigations by validating and translating business requirements into functional requirements (what) and solutions (how) and contribute throughout the enhancement and new development process with analysis, solutions, user acceptance testing and training.

What you will do...

  • Collaborate with business units to gather, analyze, and document requirements related to RentalMan ERP enhancements and integrations.
  • Translate business needs into clear, actionable user stories and functional specifications.
  • Lead cross-functional workshops to validate requirements and align on solution design.
  • Partner with developers, QA, and project managers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of ERP features.
  • Conduct gap analysis and propose system improvements to optimize workflows and data integrity.
  • Support UAT planning, execution, and defect resolution.
  • Maintain documentation for business processes, system configurations, and change logs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in MIS or related field
  • 2 to 5 years of experience working in an IT environment with QA, application development, requirement gathering, and analysis of data
  • Understanding and experience in IT functional analysis, business process, use cases, functional design/architecture and functional specification documentation
  • Formal training in the disciplines of Business Analysis and/or Project Management

Skills

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Familiarity with SDLC, Agile methodologies, and tools like JIRA or Azure DevOps.
  • Experience with data mapping, process modeling, and integration documentation.
  • Preferred: Experience working with IBM iSeries environments or RPG-based systems.
